Sister Teirsa Alynn Smith has entered the MTC! Following her farewell on Sunday and some precious family time spent on Monday and Tuesday, the immediate families gathered in Provo for lunch, photos, and hugs.
Remembering what that first night in the MTC was like, I quickly sent a short email to her mission account letting her know how proud we all were of her. To my surprise, I had a response this morning! Here is some of what she had to say:
"Thanks so much for having a email waiting for me Dad, that meant the world :) Things are good! TELL ANN SISTER ROSIER WAS THE SECOND PERSON I MET HERE!! Haha Steve's niece. So awesome! My companion's name is Sister Evans and she is from Seattle.. Another awesome first day thing. My favorite part so far was a musical number we got to hear sometime during the madness today. Singer with piano and violin played Savior Redeemer.. way beautiful! Sorry I don't have much time, they're letting us email real quick to ease the first night for our fams and us ;)
I will keep doing my best in hopes that those people in Bama truly do need me. Talk to you soon XOXO
love Sister Teirsa Smith"
So thankful for the tender mercies granted her in these first 24 hours. I'm sure there will be many more to come.
Stay tuned...
